What Inside Sales contributes to Cardinal Health

Inside Sales is responsible for driving sales and services to new and existing customers. The sales cycles will tend to be simple and short-term in nature and may or may not lead to a long term customer relationship. Can sometimes be viewed as cold calling, telesales.

Key Accountabilities:

•Responsible to lead and provide clear direction to a team of inside sales representatives.

•Engages with leadership and sales team to implement territory plans and account strategies

•Meets and exceeds revenue and financial budgets

•Manages the selection of new employees and collaborates with the training team

•Coaches team on effective inside sales techniques, management of KPI’s, financial performance, pipeline management, Quality Assurance, and resolution of issues related to operations and/or projects

•Conducts routine development and performance reviews for sales team

•Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals

•Attend and participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions as directed. Attend all regional and divisional events including National Sales Meetings and Advanced Corporate Training.

•Ensures employees operate within guidelines

•Interacts with subordinates, peers, senior management, customer and suppliers at various management levels

•Works successfully within a large organization with multiple cross functional teams

•Demonstrates working industry knowledge that may include the following: key competitors, terminology, technology, trends, and challenges.

•Functional knowledge of current applicable computer operation systems, and computer software/hardware processed and procedures

•Excellent knowledge and skills for sales and sales leadership

•Ability to understand, analyze and create solutions to deal with complex and undefined issues.

•Adept at listening and articulate in both oral and written communication

•Proficiency in Microsoft applications and systems (i.e., Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Salesforce.com)

•Possess the ability to establish, retain and capitalize on relationships with customer influencers

•Conduct effective presentations to various sized target audiences, including internal and external groups.

•Identify market intelligence on competitive activity, communicate to appropriate internal resources in a timely manner; develop and implement sales plans to meet business goals.

•Perform other job-related duties as requested and works effectively with other team members to ensure the goals and objectives of the organization are met.

•Participate in projects and other initiatives inside and/or outside of the assigned area, department or business unit, as needed.

Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree preferred

•1-2 years proven outside or inside sales experience preferred

•3-6 years in health care services, medical products sales or equivalent preferred

•Ability to work M-F 8:30am-5pm

•Ability to travel 25% of time

•Strong planning, forecasting, communication, negotiation and presentation skills

•SAP and Salesforce experience preferred

•Excel skills is a plus

•GPO and/ or distribution experience is a plus
