What Inside Sales contributes to Cardinal Health/The Harvard Drug Group

Inside Sales is responsible for driving sales and services to new and existing customers. The sales cycles will tend to be simple and short-term in nature and may or may not lead to a long term customer relationship.

What is expected of you for success in your role

  • Demonstrates basic industry, customer and Cardinal Health/The Harvard Drug Group knowledge
  • Maximize customer relationships through timely routine contact with both new and existing customers
  • Build and sustain relationships founded on trust with internal and external customers and ensures customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Navigate through the order entry systems, processes and procedures
  • Initiate introductory customer calls with the objective of developing a long-term business relationship
  • Effectively negotiates and collaborates with customers and colleagues to influence support for mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Applies basic sales protocol by following appropriate sales presentation guidelines

Accountabilities in this role

  • Achieve assigned sales goals and customer contact frequency
  • Expand customer base and products sold to this base
  • Conduct quality sales calls
  • Form long standing customer relationships with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians
  • Proactively demonstrate the defined value of partnering with The Harvard Drug Group both pre- and post-sales
  • Demonstrate positive interactions with customers and team members
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures
  • Adhere to the core values of the company
  • Work under moderate supervision

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • 1-2 years proven outside or inside sales experience preferred
  • Self-motivated to achieve goals
  • Extremely personable and team player
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Proficient computer skills
