What Customer Operations Support contributes to Cardinal Health

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, a Rep I, Customer Ops Support communicates with patients via phone to provide a clear overview of the prescribed Home Sleep Test, gathers and verifies required demographic and insurance information, and schedules the shipment of the testing device. This position requires knowledge of computers and technology, customer service skills and telecommunications abilities to perform the required tasks.

Accountabilities

  • Schedule patients for Home Sleep Testing using the required applications
  • Answer inbound calls from patients, physician offices and DME companies
  • Place outbound calls to patients, physician offices and DME companies
  • Obtain and verify insurance information from the patients
  • Update patient files with corrected insurance and patient demographics
  • Work incomplete HST orders, physician updates, device retrievals, possible lost devices
  • Process patient payments using the required applications
  • Process and validate test orders received using the required applications
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent required
  • Minimum of one (1) year of customer service and/or medical scheduling experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Knowledge of medical insurance preferred
  • Sales and/or Marketing experience preferred
  • Proficient in MS Internet Explorer, Excel and various MS office programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent phone manner
  • Organizational skills, detail oriented and ability to multi-task
