Cardinal Health Advisor, Strategic Src Indirect Procurement in Dublin, Ohio

Accountabilities in this role

  • Lead negotiation of basic procurement transactional documents, including Letters of Authorization (LOAs), Confidentiality & Non-Disclosure Agreements (CNDAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Equipment and services purchases, etc.
  • Work with internal Procurement, Finance, Stakeholder and Legal team members to obtain approvals necessary to execute purchase orders and contract documents
  • Conduct RFP, RFQ, RFI, competitive bids, and miscellaneous projects
  • Ensure use of policies as well as terms and conditions to ensure best in class economics and minimized risk
  • Accountable for Contract Lifecycle management on all assigned contracts
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction by partnering with Stakeholders and cross functional IT teams

End User Computing specific responsibilities

  • Negotiating and contract experience in the End User Computing space which includes: Hardware (Laptops, Desktops and Networking Gear), Maintenance and Related Services

Telecom specific responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analyze Telecom supply marketplace, maintain working knowledge of business trends including industry issues, cost drivers, global pricing, market conditions, and economic indicators.
  • Identify new and/or alternate sources of Telecom supply....(Voice, Data, Cellular, Audio/Web Conferencing, SIP, VOIP and Telecom Expense Management)

Technical Competencies

  • Maturity in Procurement Sourcing Methodology

  • Strong Analytical Skills

  • Proficient in basic Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

  • Ideally, experience with procurement tools (EchoSign, SAP’s Ariba)

General responsibilities

  • Collaborates with counterparts across Technology, Operations and other business units to ensure strategic alignment with a holistic view of sourcing and supplier activity
  • Persuade and manage internal client sourcing project teams in a structure and disciplined sourcing process
  • Negotiate best price, quality, service levels and delivery terms for purchased products and services
  • Lead analysis of spend data (e.g. should-cost modeling, cost benefit analysis, total cost of ownership) and industry dynamics (e.g. supply, demand, competition) to identify savings opportunities and prioritize procurement initiatives
  • Develop negotiation strategies and lead negotiations with vendors on price, SLA, delivery, industry-leading terms and conditions and coordinate with legal to execute optimal contracts with vendors

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related degree is preferred
  • Experience in IT/Telecom area preferred
  • Experience with sourcing and contracting process
  • Ability to communicate effectively and interact with at Manager, Director, VP and SVP levels
