Purpose: The business process team member is responsible for managing the product and supplier master data work streams and deliverables for the modernization program to ensure that the business requirements for the future business model are reflected in the system configuration. This person is responsible to ensure they are designing the optimal business processes and policies for product and supplier master data to maximize the value realization of the program as well as the configuration of the system.


The primary responsibilities of the business process team member include:

  • Lead the team that is accountable for delivery of the product and supplier master data domains
  • Define the future state product and supplier master data management processes and platform
  • Define and execute work plan activities and participate in creation of project deliverables
  • Provide business process specific expertise and knowledge of business
  • Execute SAP transaction activities
  • Support end user training delivery
  • Identify and help resolve issues
  • Ensure alignment with process thread goals
  • Communicate activity status for updates to the work plan
  • Identify quick win opportunities and work with the business to implement
  • Assume responsibility for timeliness and quality of work products
  • Provide support as appropriate to other team members
  • Support development of all project team deliverables
  • Ensures decisions are made timely
  • Manages scope of the area that they are responsible for

  • Aligns business process requirements with system configuration to ensure the solution meets business needs
  • Accountable for product and supplier master data conversions
  • Responsible for ensuring the integrity of master data feeding current state, transition state and future state environments


  • BS/BA Business or Equivalent
  • 3-5 years professional experience
  • Analytical & Word Processing: Must demonstrate command of MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook)
  • Presentation: must demonstrate clear, concise articulation of proposed actions, illustrating opportunity, alternatives, recommendation and associated economics
  • SAP process expertise and best practices in product and supplier master data
  • Good analytical skills
  • Proven results orientation
  • Excellent communication skills - written, oral and presentation
  • Strong understanding of product and supplier master data relationships within the SAP platform
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Business & IT functions across all functional areas and understanding of their relevance to business processes
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a complex matrix environment
  • Strong customer focus
  • Able to make difficult decisions and is recognized as a decision maker with their peer group
  • Experience on large SAP projects (multiple master data implementations preferred)
  • Experience as a business leader with a firm working knowledge of IT as a strategic business enabler is required
