Cardinal Health Human Resources Generalist, Recruiter (Contract) in Gananoque, Canada

Cardinal Health Canada is currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist, Recruiter to join our team in Gananoque,ON ( 9-month contract ) . The selected candidate will be responsible for sourcing, assessing, and driving the selection of talent to support business needs for the local production team and provide general human resources support to various programs and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively and creatively sources and screens candidates to develop pools of talent for all production positions.
  • Assess candidates through competency-based screening; ensuring only qualified candidates are referred.
  • Creates a positive candidate experience.
  • Ensures the maintenance of accurate and concise records and reports concerning all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Administers all steps of the recruitment and selection process with internal stakeholder and external vendors.
  • Administers all documentation and develops internal procedures related to candidate and employee changes, including HRIS Workday processing.
  • Conducts onboarding and orientation activities.
  • Assists in developing and implementing automated recruitment processes for internal and external candidates.
  • Coordinate and administer various programs including, Employee Referrals
  • Action changes and data requirements in multiple systems
  • Apply acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete standard tasks
  • Works on routine assignments that require basic problem resolution
  • Refers to policies and past practices for guidance
  • Receive general direction on standard work and detailed instruction on new assignments
  • Refer to policies and past practices for guidance
  • Consult with supervisors or senior peers on complex and unusual problems

Experience and Knowledge

  • College Diploma, in Human Resources, preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in recruitment and/or human resources
  • Excellent communication and decision making skills
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills to meet multiple demands in a busy environment
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office: Excel, Word
