What Inventory Mgmt contributes to Cardinal Health

Inventory Management is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning and customer forecasting systems, supply planning, product deployment and expediting processes, and the development and implementation of a stocking optimization model to minimize costs and inventory while delivering on service requirements.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2 – 3 years Inventory Control experience.
  • Excellent written oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Good understanding of inventory control policy and procedures.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Above average computer application and database tracking and entry skills.

Accountabilities in this role

  • Responsible for client's inventory
  • Interacts with multiple departments within operations
  • Utilizes warehouse operations software
  • Flexible with day-to-day tasks
  • Conduct inventory audits periodically
  • Work to resolve inventory issues within the operation

What is expected of you and others at this level

  • Process and fulfill customer’s inventory requirements with a very high degree of accuracy.
  • Work independently on assignments that are moderately difficult requiring judgment in resolving issues.
  • Perform critical inventory tasks according to client and operation needs and requirements.
  • Keep and maintain critical documentation for reporting purposes.
  • Maintain effective business relationships with customers and operations departments.
  • Manage multiple tasks through effective prioritization.
  • Understand and follow work rules and Standard Operating Procedures.
