Product or Services Marketing is responsible for defining the product/service and market strategy and life cycle management including customer need identification, market research, product or service offering, pricing, positioning, promotion, and branding.

Accountabilities in this role

  • Conducts market research and executes customer segmentation efforts to define the needs of, and develop personas for, current and potential specialty physician’s office customers in the therapeutic areas of Oncology and Urology
  • Responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans for reaching Specialty Physician’s Offices and increasing market penetration
  • Implements all targeted marketing efforts for Specialty Pharmaceutical Distribution (SPD Physician's Office) and VitalSource™ GPO to increase brand awareness and drive revenue growth
  • Partners with solution owners to develop and implement offering-specific marketing strategies for services targeted toward specialty practices (ex. Inventory Management Solution, Advanced Practice Analytics, Physician Dispensing, etc.)
  • In partnership with Digital Marketing, develops robust lead generation strategies, and drives the production of content and related marketing assets to support lead gen and nurturing efforts
  • Works closely with business leadership and Sales to implement, track and measure the effectiveness (ROI) of aligned sales and marketing efforts, fully leverages sales and marketing automation tools including Salesforce.com and BigTinCan
  • Partners with Communications Business Partner team to implement external marketing communications, thought leadership and PR efforts
  • Works closely with internal Brand Strategy, Creative Services, Digital Marketing, and external agency partners to produce effective and on-brand customer-facing marketing campaigns, messaging and tactics
  • Defines the conference and trade show strategy for SPD Phys. Office/VitalSource™ GPO and works with other Cardinal Health teams to ensure coordinated presence at external events
  • Responsible for the ongoing management and tracking of a Marketing expense budget
  • Collaborates effectively with others and builds strategic alliances within Specialty Solutions and across Cardinal Health

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • 8+ years experience in related field, preferred.
