JOB TITLE: Clinical Supervisor

What Clinical Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Clinical Operations is responsible for supporting the timely and quality sale, installation and monitoring of Cardinal Health products and services and may also provide product and service education to facilitate technology adoption and workflow change management.

  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge and understanding of relevant clinical operations, products and services
  • Influences customer decision to purchase new products and services
  • Leads the post-sales assessment, design, implementation and monitoring of new products and services in multi-site and/or complex environments
  • Develops, plans and manages customer training programs in multi-site and/or complex environments
  • Serves as lead consultant and resource to internal and external customers in multi-site and/or complex environments
  • Mentors internal staff regarding best demonstrated practices
  • Significantly influences customer acceptance and utilization of new products and services in multi-site and/or complex environments
  • Initiates discussion to obtain in-depth customer feedback for product and service improvement opportunities


  • Supervision of licensed nurses who perform compliance persistency calls and pharmacovigilance in a call center environment
  • Assisting with the day-to-day operations to include quality monitoring of calls and charting
  • Training on adverse event, product complaint reporting, and medical information to clinical and non-clinical staff
  • Implementation of new programs to include writing and updating work instructions and standard operation procedures
  • Performing User Acceptance Testing of new and existing systems
  • Onboarding of new clinical staff
  • Providing phone coverage for breaks, lunches and absences as needed
  • Sending adverse event reconciliation reports to clients
  • Mentoring and coaching staff to meet key performance indicators
  • Interviewing potential new candidates
  • Assisting with program development
  • Being a positive change agent


  • Undergrad preferred or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • 0-2 years of experience in related field, preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience, preferred
  • 5 years of hospital or clinical experience, preferred
  • Knowledge of rare diseases and oncology, preferred
  • Chronic disease management, preferred
  • Basic health insurance knowledge, preferred
  • Call center and telephonic nursing background, preferred
  • Must have current Texas RN license, required
  • Able to obtain RN licenses in other States within one year of employment, required
  • Case Management certification desired, preferred; other certifications considered
  • Experience working with high functioning teams, preferred
  • Must have excellent computer and writing skills, preferred
  • Ability to work with Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint, preferred
  • Spanish speaker desired, preferred
  • Experience with teaching and development of instructional material, preferred
  • Conducting webmeetings, preferred
